Friends and all that jazz…Post 44

I lay in my bed

bombarded with thoughts,

Remembering the happy times

and the times we fought

Can never forget those days

full of highs and lows,

talking till six in the morning

we had too much to say…lolz

Shopping in Rajouri Garden

or getting glam in ‘SIS’,

am really keen on

our ‘much thought’ road trip

Now every time I visit CCD

every cappuccino coffee

reminds me of the day

we were struck by poverty

Remember, the days

we were delighted by the hangover,

But one thing which

still awaits is the sleepover

The journey is incomplete

without the famous silence & our cold war,

One thing I promise

I can never forget you, yaar

No matter how much we argue

you know I’ll always love ya,

From the bottom of my heart

I say: Happy Birthday Vineeta

To all the fun we’ve had together,

To all more that is coming,

To all the action & drama,

To everything we are learning,

P.S.  I wrote this poem two and a half years ago for a friend…Now that we are getting busier day by day in the mundane chores of our lives, this reminds me of those gone by days 🙂

About Chhavi Pruthi

Being a married woman! It's a tough job! It's being on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week & 12 months a year. You cook! You kiss! You pray! You sweep! You teach! You plan! You shop! You Love! One has to become a woman of many talents. We all need a little help from time to time and that's when I decided to create a platform for my homemaking diaries. A place where I can share my personal experiences and can learn from fellow homemakers in the cyber world.
